Happy Birthday Dylan!

I sure love this cute little guy. He is so happy and snuggly and is such a perfect addition to our family. He gives the best hugs and walk-runs all over the place. Today he finally went down the stairs by himself backwards. He is into everything. I thought he was going to be a little on the mellow side... but as each day goes on I see more and more of Grayson in him. If I go to get him from getting something he's not supposed to he sees me coming and laughs and runs toward it as fast as he can. His brother and sister love him so much, but if they're buggin him he screams and lets them know get off! I can't believe how fast this year has flown. I can't believe my baby is 1 year old. 

July where have you gone?

 Oh Dylan I could just kiss those chubby cheeks all day long!

 Our little man started walking a couple weeks ago and is getting so brave! He still has to use furniture to pull himself up, but once he's up he's off walking like nobody's business!

 He's got 9 teeth so far with 3 more molars to make an appearance in the next few weeks.

 Adam and Natalie had baby #5! Zachary James. 

 Madison sat on the couch for about 10 minutes holding him. She is such a little mama.

Grayson was really excited about him too, but that only lasted about 2 minutes then he was off playing somewhere!

In other news we are looking for houses!! I'm so excited to be able to finally have a permanent place we can call our own! I might even have to do some sort of decorating... thank heavens for Pinterest or I would have no clue what to do.

We put an offer on a house today! Hopefully we get some good news tomorrow.

A month's worth!

We've been having such a fun summer blogging is the last thing I want to do! 

We've been hiking, biking, swimming, boating at Jordanelle and Lake Powell, golfing, playing tennis and anything and everything OUTSIDE! Oh I love it.

We went to the air show and it was really cool but freezing! It actually hailed at one point. We were soaked and ready to go after about an hour and a half.

Grayson and Madison are both really good hikers. Madison still needs to hold my hand now and again, and Grayson is the leader all the time and practically runs the whole way down.

He loved playing in the sand and ate quite a bit of it and didn't even get sick or diaper rash!

The water was decently warm! It was so fun to swim around.

My mom bought her this outfit when we had a girls day and went shopping. She tried on 5 or 6 different dresses and wanted them all! The hat is such a cute touch!

Dad and the boys watching basketball! Dad wants OKC to win , but Grayson decided the Heat is his favorite team and Lebron James is his favorite player.

Dylan started walking with the shopping cart and laundry baskets. He just pushes them all over the place. His favorite thing to do is climb up the stairs! We've become creative with barriers to keep him off so I can do dishes and make dinner.

Not only does this kid love the bath, he loves the swimming pool. We've been going for 2 hours and he's happy and smiling the whole time.

He's getting so grown up!

We don't have a ton going on this summer... next weekend I'm running a half marathon , the kids start swim lessons Monday, we're going to visit Dan's sister in Tahoe sometime in August to meet her new baby, oh and I signed up Dan and I to be in a Dou Challenge. It's called Run Cahoots. Its about 20 different obstacle courses at Soldier Hollow you have to complete as a team. It should be really fun! That's in August as well.
Besides those few calendar items we pretty much wake up every morning and do whatever we want! Oh the life. This is when I feel guilty about sending Dan to work everyday while I get to play play play.
Yeah being a mom has it's ups and downs, but right now life is pretty great!
