70 year old woman...
So this morning I woke up to go running with Jon. I hit snooze on my alarm only to wake up a few minutes later to a sound coming from the living room. It was Koko, and she was barfing on my family room carpet. UGGGHHH! Well after I cleaned up the big chunks Jon arrived... so I poured hot water on the spot and Jon drove me to my parent's house to get the carpet cleaning vacuum. Apparently (Jon if you're reading this you should be afraid) when I opened the garage-it was early and I figured my parents would still be sleeping- my dad looked out the window and saw a strange car in the driveway. Then he looked out the other window and saw "some guy who was pretty gutsy getting into the shed in broad daylight" so my dear old dad went upstairs and got his 9mm. Just before he was about to burst outside with his pistol drawn he saw me stick my head around the corner of the shed (I was looking for the vacuum and found it just in time!) Apparently dad "doesnt know Jon from Adam" even though he's met him at least half a dozen times... I thought it was pretty funny. At least my mom should feel safe!
Now for the old lady part:
Today we ran 18 miles! Thats right 18! Holy crap huh? Hence the title of my post. I officially know what a 70 year old woman feels like. After the run I could hardly function. I do however feel like it was quite an accomplishment. Only 8 more miles and it will be a marathon. It certainly builds my confidence that I can actually run a marathon. I almost stopped at mile 17 but my stubborn running partner made me keep going. Sooo he had to put up with me yelling at him the rest of the way. I hated him for about ten minutes, but in the end I'm glad I kept going!
Oh and by the way I know I'm crazy for having this urge to run that far. Trust me everytime we run a long distance I ask myself "what the crap am I doing..."

Mom I'm stuck!
Grayson climbed in the the lazy susan and was playing around while I was making lunch to go to the Tulip Festival. I ran into the other room for seriously 2 minutes. When I came back he had opened the oatmeal and was playing in it and spilled rice and cream of wheat all over the floor! So I had to vacuum it all up (he loves the vacuum so that was probably his goal).
