Private...

According to my dear husband it is completely STUPID to post pictures of your kids on the internet for anyone to see. So in light of his opinion I'm closing this blog to just anyone. If you want to be able to continue to access it tell me your email and I will send you an official blog invite!

Pumpkins

We went to this pumpkin patch over on Highland called Engh Gardens. For all of you wanting to get pumpkins for Halloween DONT go there! "Hi my name is Engh Gardens and I charge $20 for a 15lb or less pumpkin. Oh and the little mini ones are $3 each!" What a RIP!

Flaming Gorge

This is a shot from our cabin. It is so beautiful up there!
He learned how to throw snow at me... not a big surprise!
Dan was exposed to this lovely family tradition for the first time. Its been many years since we've actually been able to bring home the kill.

"Mama is brown snow like chocolate ice cream?"
I am man, hear me roar
The boys where pretty smelly after this whole killing an innocent animal venture.
This is the men trying to fit the Elk head into the back of the truck. It was gross, you can tell by the look on Papa's face.
He kept bending over to eat the snow and would face plant because of all his snow clothes.
Me and my little man.
The whole clan minus Grandma (she was pretty much cooking or watching babies the whole time) Papa (he was taking the picture) Morgan and Maggie.
Dan showed Grayson how to start a fire, make a shelter and gather food for the winter... JK
We drove to the 'overlook' to hike around and Grayson fell asleep in the car. Amazingly enough he slept in my arms the whole time!

Happy 33rd Dan!

For Dan's birthday I made a pot roast, potatoes, carrots and rolls. Pretty traditional, but I rarely cook that for dinner so it was a treat. We also had grape juice and sprite in our wine glasses and ate a romantic dinner for 3 by candlelight. I am so glad that Dan was born today all those years ago :) Grayson and I are very fortunate to have such a good father and husband. We love you Dan!
We had brownies and mint chocolate chip ice cream in place of a cake
Grayson helped Dada blow out his candles.

Camping in the Uintas

Over the weekend we went camping with Bri and Wade. We drove about an hour into the mountains and then took a turn down a dirt road and then another turn down a rocky road and ended up in pretty much the most perfect campsite ever. We were surrounded by trees and even had a little stream and the best part... there were no other people around! It was pretty chilly though, next time I go there I think it will be in July! Grayson was a little whiny the whole trip- I think probably because it took forever for our food to cook and his little paws were cold. Maybe next time we'll be a little better prepared with some mittens.
Here is our lovely campfire. Notice the food cooking in the dutch oven! The food was delicious even though our counterparts forgot a key ingredient! CHEESE! I'll get over it, they just better make it up to us next time!
PS: Bri told me I have to post this story on the blog...
It was late at night and everyone was sleeping in the tent. I had just calmed Grayson down from waking up and was the furthest person from the door of the tent. I had this sudden urge to pee (my bladder has constant pressure from my stinkin uterus) and I didn't want to walk over everyone and unzip the tent. Not to mention I had just had dreams that wolves and mountain lions had attacked our camp. So in my moment of desperation I had an idea... the DIAPER BAG! So I straped on one of Grayson's diapers and let it go. Stupid diaper couldnt even hold it all in. I leaked out the side, but luckily had a change of pants. I guess that's what I get for buying Costco brand. There you have it. I peed myself.
