28 Weeks/Peekabooblueberryface

So this isn't the most flattering picture in the whole world... but it's my 28 week shot meaning I'm now in my 3rd trimester! I've gained 20lbs and hopefully only 10 more to go (so say the websites). We are very excited for this little buddy to join our family. Obviously we don't have a name picked out so any suggestions would be appreciated.

Grayson used to eat frozen blueberries everyday of his little monkey life and then one day he just didn't want them anymore. The other day I bought some to put in our pancakes and now every time I open the freezer he wants them! No added sugar and full of iron... he can have as many as he wants!

Potty Time!

I am very pleased to announce that Grayson has gone 4 days without going poop in his diaper... nothin but toilet baby! Friday we are going to buy some Pull-ups and make the change from diapers to 'big boy pants'! It hasn't been the easiest thing in the whole world that's for sure. Patience and attentivemess have been the key words on my mind for the past week. I am determined to get this boy going solo before the baby comes. Starting late yesterday and all day today he has stalled and stalled about going poop, then once I said "do you want me to leave?" and he said "yis, weaf!" So, funny thing, after I closed the door and left him to do his business he totally DID IT! Oh I am so proud. Then after he puts his poopoo in the potty we run to the M&M machine, he puts in a penny, and out comes a peanut butter M&M! A yummy reward for a job well done. He still goes pee in his diaper sometimes during the day, but now we are only going through 2 diapers compared to the normal 5 or so a day. Good job Grayson!
In other news my birthday was a success. We went to a nice little Mexican restaurant then dropped Grayson off at my parent's house. From there we met some friends at the bowling alley and played 2 games- I beat Dan one game and he beat me the other. We'll have to go again for a tiebreaker soon. After that we had some cake and ice cream (thanks for the awesome cake Kristen), played some games and OH by the way I got an AWESOME present from the Siddoways and Hickmans that is a little too ris-k to announce but hilarious none-the-less. All in all turning 24 was pretty cool.

Happy Birthday to MEEE!

Monday night Adam and Natalie babysat Grayson (THANKS!) while my parents took Dan and I to The Roof at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. I love it there! I know, I know some will say "there is better food for the price elsewhere" but I go for the whole experience. Let me explain... We walked in, the host took our coats and walked us to our table while explaining the Executive Buffet and the dessert bar that includes 26 desserts... Let me tell you, I have never been ANY place where there has been such a pleathera of desserts and been able to sample ALL of them. That right there is worth the $50 a person, especially a pregnant person. We sat at a table right by the window that overlooked the temple. Not to mention it was snowing ever so lightly and the spires of the temple were whiter than normal because of it. The piano was right by us so I requested a few songs including my and Dan's 'song' from our wedding. It was a very lovely evening and my parents were so nice to take us. What a good birthday present!

Ohh the New Year.

It is weird to start out the New Year with so many uncertainties. Right now with the job situation up in the air the only certainties are dates... Like holy cow I'm turning 24 on Friday. That means I've graduated to my mid-twenties. Now when people find out how old I am they are going to expect me to be mature or something. The next date is February 16th. My little baby will be turning 2! I can't believe how fast time has flown. We are so lucky to have him in our lives. Then, there's April 18th! That isn't really a for sure date, but little baby girl Wolfe will make her debut right around that time... hopefully a little early to ease Mama's pregnancy woes. Annnnd then May 18th is our 3rd anniversary. It's weird especially when you add 2 kids to the mix, saying we've been married 3 years doesn't really do us justice. My life began when I met Dan, he has made me such a better person and I am SOO glad he is mine. I feel like we've been married like 10 years- in a good way! Who knows WHERE we will be celebrating any of these dates but at least we'll be together as a family.
As for resolutions, most of them are financial... Dan says he hopes for financial freedom, but the chances of that are slim to none unless we sell everything we own and live in my parents basement. And trust me, that ain't happenin! With no job it's kind of hard to write down financial goals... so that resolution will have to wait. Maybe when Dan gets a new job we will have another New Years celebration!
As for 2009 I hope my family stays safe, my baby is born healthy, and everyone is able to find something that makes them happy.
