This kid sleeps pretty much all day long. She has an awake period around 10am and then one about 730pm. I love getting pictures of her with her eyes open. It's weird to think what it would be like seeing the world for the first time. She just marvels at everything. She is such a sweet little girl. We are so lucky to have her.
Tonight we had cheesecake with chocolate sauce and cherries. Grayson was in heaven (so was I). His eyes opened wide when I put it on his tray and he savored every bite and said a couple of 'yummys' in between. I think people think I don't feed Grayson sweets... well I may not feed him sugary junk food but I definitely let him enjoy the good stuff.
This is a cute little half smile... I think she might have been searching for dinner.
A couple of days ago Dan's dad dropped by to meet Madison. Grayson didn't quite know what to think of him, but now he talks about him every day. He says, "Mampa Wolfe see you!" and "big truck, driiiive" Translation: Grandpa Wolfe drives a big truck and he came to see you! Grayson is a crack up. He's growing up so fast.I'm happy to report that Dan will be home in 2 days! Despite all of the help and support I've received from family and friends this has seriously been the longest two weeks of my life! I think a lot of it had to do with the fact that I have only been able to talk to Dan on the phone once and only received a few emails. I really have missed him so much. I guess that's why I married him, I just can't live without him! I'm excited for him to be able to snuggle his little girl and see his Grayson. I'm mostly just excited to have him home SAFE. Although Azerbaijan is supposed to be stable and peaceful there are still Muslim extremist groups who could cause trouble. Props to wives who send their husbands on tours to Iraq/Afganistan for a year at a time and don't go crazy.
